Reindeer Suspender Skirt

The first holiday creation is the "Reindeer Suspender Skirt". This is great because layering is your friend with this skirt! Put long sleeves with a bell cuff, or layer with a short sleeve blouse. Warm it up for the wintery weather with tights, leggings, and boots! Is it warm all year in your area? Pair it with Livie and Luca and a sweet top. The limits are endless.

Sommer Fabric by Sarah Jane for Michael Miller

For a couple of weeks, I kept going back and forth about what fabric I would use for my children's Easter dresses. I finally came to a conclusion that the Sarah Jane Sommer Collection would be stunning. I tend to favor blue hues personally, and I think it looks nice on my girls. So, I went with it! I absolutely adore how everything came together. I chose simple dress patterns that would not interfere with the natural beauty and artwork on the fabric design itself. My older girl is wearing the Hourglass Dress by Rabbit Rabbit Creations. I can't believe I tested this back in the fall! My little one is wearing the Trendsetter by Little Lizard King.

We live in Texas, and the bluebonnets started popping up alongside the roads rather early this year. On our way to an outdoor market, we came across hill after hill of flowers! After I literally hemmed the last dress, I slipped the dresses on my kids and buckled them into the car to get shots in those stunning flowers! It was quite hilarious! The girls are not exactly used to nature. They complained about the itchy grass and the random bee or bug that would spring up out of nowhere! Lots of squealing and running happened! Nonetheless, we do have some pretty darn cute photos of them. Their stunning flower crowns are from a fabulous Etsy Maker, The Gipsy and the Yarn. Gloria did a great job customizing the headpieces for me.

Several weeks later, we visited the Dallas Arboretum to see the spring blooms. Of course, the girls wore their dresses to the gardens! We are really spoiled that we have such beauty within a 45 minute drive!

Thanks for reading!

Christmas Eve on Main Street

I made some sweet Christmas outfits for my daughters. The little one is wearing Violette Fields Threads Matilda, and the big sister is wearing Little Lizard King's Everyday Play Skirt. I used fabric from Joann's. We walked around Main Street Grapevine and took some fun Christmas pictures!

Christmas Creations

Here's the rundown of the Christmas pieces created in 2015! Thank you for your support if one of these items is yours!

First and most favorite is the Phoebe dress pattern by Violette Fields Threads with Art Galley Fabric.  For this photoshoot I collaborated with the talented Liz Borah of Elizabeth Nicole Photography in Connecticut.

Made to match bowties were popular in this Art Gallery fabric.

Little Lizard King's Everyday Play skirt was popular with Evie.

Violette Fields Threads Matilda dress for Katy!

I made some cute dolly night shirts out of Disney knit fabric.

The School Boy Vest by Sew Much Ado and Best Dressed Girl by Little Lizard King made this cute sibling set. The dress used Michael Miller's Christmas Fairies fabric.

A feminine Lazy Susan by Brownie Goose patterns featured Art Gallery and Moda Fabrics.

A fun Brewster skirt by Create Kids Couture patterns with Art Gallery and Riley Blake fabric.

A Starry Night dress feature Brownie Goose's Cricket pattern and Michael Miller's Glitz.

This is a dropped waste version of Violette Fields Threads' Phoebe dress, which features Riley Blake reindeer fabric.

Sew Like My Mom Night Shirts were a hit!

More Poebes, bowties, and bubble skirts!
