Minnie Mouse Party Dress

A client recently ordered a Minnie Mouse dress. It is so adorable! I love how it is inspired by the classic red Minnie Mouse, and the one shoulder adds a modern twist to it! I think this dress is perfect for a birthday party, a trip to Disney World, and anything in between! I know my girls would wear this dress for dress up! How fun!

Give Hope

Violette Field Threads is a wonderful pattern design company that is sponsoring the HOPE Campaign to send handmade clothing to a girls' home in Guatemala. One of the designers adopted her children from the country, and she found an opportunity to give the gift of clothing to Casa Guatemala. VFT has organized hundreds of seamstresses to give the gift of time and handmade garments to these children.  I am thrilled to have created a top called "Lola" along with knit "Evie" shorts. I hope the girl who receives it enjoys it, plays in it, twirls in it, and truly feels special having a special outfit made just for her.

Sleepy-time Creations

For Christmas I made my girls "Clover" nightgowns from Sew Like My Mom and Mermaid Tail Blankets from Made for Mermaids.

My girls love the soft Frozen knit fabric I used for the nightgowns. They want to wear these all the time! I was very pleased with how they turn out! I also made several for customers in various prints, along with matching dolly nightgowns!! LOVE.

The mermaid tail blankets are made out of soft and cozy fleece! The designs are infinite. My girls love cozying up in these to watch a movie. They are also very silly, and have had "sack" style races in them! Racing MERMAIDS! They make great hiding spots for hide n seek, too!

Christmas Eve on Main Street

I made some sweet Christmas outfits for my daughters. The little one is wearing Violette Fields Threads Matilda, and the big sister is wearing Little Lizard King's Everyday Play Skirt. I used fabric from Joann's. We walked around Main Street Grapevine and took some fun Christmas pictures!

Christmas Creations

Here's the rundown of the Christmas pieces created in 2015! Thank you for your support if one of these items is yours!

First and most favorite is the Phoebe dress pattern by Violette Fields Threads with Art Galley Fabric.  For this photoshoot I collaborated with the talented Liz Borah of Elizabeth Nicole Photography in Connecticut.

Made to match bowties were popular in this Art Gallery fabric.

Little Lizard King's Everyday Play skirt was popular with Evie.

Violette Fields Threads Matilda dress for Katy!

I made some cute dolly night shirts out of Disney knit fabric.

The School Boy Vest by Sew Much Ado and Best Dressed Girl by Little Lizard King made this cute sibling set. The dress used Michael Miller's Christmas Fairies fabric.

A feminine Lazy Susan by Brownie Goose patterns featured Art Gallery and Moda Fabrics.

A fun Brewster skirt by Create Kids Couture patterns with Art Gallery and Riley Blake fabric.

A Starry Night dress feature Brownie Goose's Cricket pattern and Michael Miller's Glitz.

This is a dropped waste version of Violette Fields Threads' Phoebe dress, which features Riley Blake reindeer fabric.

Sew Like My Mom Night Shirts were a hit!

More Poebes, bowties, and bubble skirts!

Enchanted Belle Birthday

One of my faithful clients graciously is allowing me to share her daughter's enchanted birthday. I was so excited when she asked me to create a Belle dress for the birthday girl, along with a made to match American Girl Doll dress! It was so much fun putting these two pieces together. All the pieces came together beautifully for the enchanted party!

For the girl's Belle Dress I used the Dreamweaver pattern by Foo Foo Threads. and I used Pixie Faire Patterns for the doll dress.
