Enchanted Belle Birthday

One of my faithful clients graciously is allowing me to share her daughter's enchanted birthday. I was so excited when she asked me to create a Belle dress for the birthday girl, along with a made to match American Girl Doll dress! It was so much fun putting these two pieces together. All the pieces came together beautifully for the enchanted party!

For the girl's Belle Dress I used the Dreamweaver pattern by Foo Foo Threads. and I used Pixie Faire Patterns for the doll dress.

Holidays

I have been anticipating the approaching holidays, and have had many design ideas floating in my mind. With the help of customer opinion, and many many nights of exploring fabric options, I finally made a decision! Lillian Kate style is not overly frilly and foo foo. I wanted to keep with that, so I went for a simplistic yet bold combination of black stags featured on cream cotton fabric. This line is called "Hello Bear" by Bonnie Christine from Art Gallery Fabrics. These premium fabrics are 100% cotton and have the softest silky feeling. I also used art gallery Emmy Grace by Bari J. knit fabric for the pewter bodice. Their knits are pure luxury too. The dress pattern is called Phoebe by Violette Fields Threads.

A faithful customer of mine, Liz, is a photographer at Elizabeth Nicole Photography. She offered to capture these beautiful dresses with the Hot Cocoa Stand she and her husband designed. Her photos are in a Christmas Tree forest! You can not get these shots in the piney woods of Texas! I am in love with her creativity and talent.

Show your team spirit with these adorable knot dresses! I used Little Lizard King's pattern called Knot Right Now. I love how each piece turned out. They all have their own team flare! Go TEAM!

The Baylor and Florida State are dresses.

KU and UT are swing tops! They are perfect for leggings or shorties!

The Hourglass Dress

Last week I had the opportunity to be a part of a small test group of seamstresses. We were given the pattern and instructions for this beautiful dress. Each of us worked through the piece with a critical and creative eye. We offered tutorial ideas as well as editing advice to the creator, Jasmin Walsh of Rabbit Rabbit Creations. As seamstresses released pictures of their work, it was exciting to see the versatility of this dress! These women are from different parts of the U.S. as well as Australia, as RRC is based in Australia. With that, we all live in different climates. It was interesting to see how this dress fits into all the seasons!

A sweet picture with little sister!

Princess Remake

The Fashionable Princess Dress became very popular! I decided to make an updated remake with ruffle pants for the cooler season. I used Violette Field Threads Lucy Pants and Ginger Tunic. I love the classic style of these two paired together. It feels like sweet Southern bliss. My daughter loved wearing it! She felt like a princess!

The Ginger Nautical Tunic

I had a fun time sewing Violette Field Threads' Ginger for the first time! It is the perfect pattern for a vintage classic look! The sailor themed fabric really popped with this pattern. My daughter wore her Ginger for the Fourth of July! I look forward to making many more Gingers and even trying out the women's Ginger! There is also a dress option! So many possibilities.

The Nautical Ginger Tunic is available in my Etsy Store, Lillian Kate Custom.
